Welcome to the world of Suncastle Limited. Hopefully we can share our enthusiasm for overseas properties and some of the ‘real’ destinations that we have to offer. Here we are concentrating on properties for the more active holidaymaker or the client looking for more than just a home in the sun. Initially we are concentrating on winter sports but golf, climbing, sailing even gastronomy will not be forgotten so "watch this space".
New to our listings but sure to become a favourite - the resort of Mont Tremblant in Quebec, Canada. In the winter an exciting ski resort with all that you would expect of a North American resort. In summer a truly beautiful area of mountains, rivers, forests and lakes. There is luxury here but also a great opportunity for us real people there are waterside plots from 40k, studio apartments from under 60k and bungalows from 100k.
Abruzzo - whether your tastes are ski, beach or countryside there is something there for you and budget flights to Pescara from Stanstead. Fo our friends in the North take the flights to Rome, less than a couple of hours away. There are 21 ski areas in the region forming a total of 368km of pistes. The best skiing is from January till April with Roccaraso being the premier resort. The region also has a well organized cross country skiing tradition and a special guide can be requested from the tourism offices.
Spain may not be the first place you think of as a ski destination but the Sierra Nevada National Park offers all the facilities the skier would want from gentle beginners slopes to exciting & challenging black runs. Andalucia also boasts the spectacular cities of Cordoba, Granada and the oft overlooked Malaga. Talking of Malaga lots of low cost flights too!. A move away from the bright lights of the coast is real Spain with amazing value for money.
Languedoc in South West France is know for its climate, history, wine and a cuisine all of its own but the Cevennes National Park north of Montpellier offers great skiing. The Cevennes resorts are not as high or developed as the Pyrenan resorts to the south but do offer some good downhill runs and stunning cross country trails.
If value for money and guaranteed (well, virtually) sunshine then Turkey has to be the choice - the second most visited country by British visitors in the summer. Maybe surprisingly The Eren Mountain close to the popular tourist resort of Fethiye is covered with snow during most of the year and the activities at Eren Mountain Skiing Centre open from November to late April, it will be a bonus for winter tourism.
